Court imposes sentences and restrictions in La Altagracia sexual exploitation case





La Altagracia.- On Tuesday, the Court of Instruction of the Permanent Attention Office in La Altagracia imposed financial guarantees, travel bans and obligations to regularly appear in court on four people involved in an alleged sexual exploitation network in Verón, province of La Altagracia.

Domingo Lorenzo Santana (Wellington), the alleged leader of the operation, was fined 200,000 pesos. Reyna Julissa Solano Monción, the alleged manager of the facility, and Haitian Berlin Erisme (Obama) were each ordered to provide a financial guarantee of 20,000 pesos. Richard de la Cruz Camacho (Danny, El Pa and/or Paz) was ordered to pay 50,000 pesos.

Judge Mary C. Castillo Germán had previously postponed the hearing to allow three victims to testify in the Gesell chamber. Attorney Andy De Leon, who represented two of the defendants, contested the trafficking charges and questioned the merits of the charges.
