Clarksville-Montgomery County Area TDOT Work Starts July 20, 2024 – Clarksville Online

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in Montgomery County will resurface I-24 from west of Trough Springs Road to the Robertson County line.

Every evening, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane closures EB and WB are carried out alternately for scoring the verges, applying road markings and placing thermoplastic material (MM 11-17).

Montgomery County – SR 112 / SR 76

Improvements to intersections. Grading, drainage and construction of retaining walls.

Every day from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lanes will be temporarily closed to relocate utilities, level and install drainage.

Montgomery County – SR 48

Repairing the bridges on SR 48 over Bartons Creek.

The bridges are continuously reduced to one lane to demolish and rebuild the old bridge. Traffic is controlled by temporary traffic lights at each bridge.

Montgomery County – SR 149

Repairing the bridge on SR 149 over Yellow Creek.

Ongoing, the bridge is being reduced to one lane to demolish and reconstruct the old bridge deck. Temporary signals will control traffic.

Davidson County – I-40

The repair of the bridge on I-40 over Clifton Avenue.

There will be a continuous shoulder closure on I-40 EB due to a noise barrier and repairs to the parapet of the Clifton Avenue bridge.

Grading, drainage, bridge construction, retaining walls and paving on I-40 (MM 216) at the Donelson Pike interchange.

7/20 – 7/24 (excluding weekends), 1:00 PM, there will be an alternating rolling roadblock on I-40 in both directions due to explosions. (MM 214 – 220)

Davidson County – I-65

Carrying out repairs to concrete pavements at various locations in Region 3.

7/20 @ 8:00pm – 7/21 @ 12:00pm (continuous), there will be an on-ramp closure from I-65 SB to Briley Pkwy WB, Exit 90A to cut and repair damaged concrete on the off-ramp. On-call sign replacement on various interstates and state routes.

7/20 – 7/24, 8:00pm – 5:00am, There will be a double closure of the right lane on I-65 SB for replacement of extruded signs. There will also be a temporary closure at Exit 69 (Moores Lane/Galleria Boulevard) on I-65 SB to replace extruded panel signs on the superstructure in the ramp. The repair of Portland Cement Concrete Pavement on I-65 from SR 155 (Briley Parkway) to SR 386 (Vietnam Veterans Boulevard).

From 7/20 to 7/24, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, I-65 SB and NB will be closed alternately from MM 90.2 to MM 90.2 to allow for cutting and replacing damaged concrete in the left lanes. Two lanes will remain open.

Dickson County – SR 46

Construction of a box girder bridge on SR 46 over Yellow Creek.

Ongoing, The bridge is being reduced to one lane to demolish the existing structure and reconstruct the new bridge. Temporary signals will control traffic.

County Dickson / County Williamson / County Cheatham / County Davidson – I-40

The extension of the SmartWay Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) on I-40, from near I-840 in Dickson County to near US 70S (exit 196) in Davidson County.

Every day from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, verges will be closed in both directions due to the installation of fiber optic cables within the project boundaries.

Every evening, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, several lanes will be closed in both directions and roadblocks will be set up for the installation of foundations and gantry structures.

Hickman County – I-40

Repairing the bridges on I-40 over Sugar Creek and resurfacing I-40.

Overnight, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., there will be temporary lane closures on I-40 EB and WB for milling and paving operations. One lane will remain open at all times (MM 149.4 – 152.8).

Humphreys County – I-40

The construction of bridges on I-40 over Squeeze Bottom Lane and the Buffalo River.

From July 20-22, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM (continuous), there will be continuous lane closures on I-40 WB due to milling and paving operations (MM 140.5-141.5).

From July 22 through 24, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., there will be overnight lane closures on the outside lane of I-40 WB to install guardrail (MM 140.5 – 141.5).

Robertson County – I-65

Leveling, drainage, construction of bridges and retaining walls, ITS and paving.

At night, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, I-65 NB and SB will be temporarily closed for milling and paving work (MM 112 – 120).

From 7/20 to 7/22, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, there will be temporary closures of the ramps on I-65 NB and SB at Exit 117 due to grinding of the concrete ramps. Only one ramp will be closed at a time.
