Awesome lineup announced for Annapolis Baygrass Festival (September 21-22)

The 2nd Annual Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22, at Sandy Point State Park, Annapolis, MD. Known for its mix of bluegrass, jamgrass, funkgrass and Americana music, the event was named a “Don’t-Miss Bay Music Festival” by Chesapeake Bay Magazine.

The festival features 14 bands on two stages with no overlapping performances. Visitors can also enjoy interactive workshops, beachside yoga, garden games, children’s activities in the KidZone and local craft vendors.

Special guests include Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band) and Ron Holloway (The Warren Haynes Band).

The goal of the festival is to protect and restore the Chesapeake Bay. Proceeds are donated to local nonprofits such as Watershed Stewards Academy, Oyster Recovery Partnership and Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay.

Festival-goers can enjoy a variety of dining options, including Maryland crab cakes, oysters, BBQ, wood-fired pizzas, and vegan and vegetarian options. Drinks include microbrews, craft cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic options from Sobar.

Pherm Brewing Company and Idiom Brewing Company will offer Baygrass branded beers: Pherm’s Baytoberfest and Idiom’s Troubled Waters.

The VIP experience includes chef-prepared meals, freshly shucked oysters, VIP viewing areas, discounted drinks, exclusive parking and more.

Annapolis Baygrass is committed to sustainability and uses local food vendors, compostable materials, reusable cups and refillable water stations.

Festival partner The VA Way focuses on mental health and wellbeing, offering resources from various health organisations and promoting a sober space within the festival.

Sandy Point State Park, a 786-acre park on the northwestern shore of Chesapeake Bay, provides a scenic backdrop for the festival. The site is handicap accessible and offers several lodging and camping options with shuttles.
