Police Cruiser Crashes Into Civilian Vehicle Monday In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia Police cruiser crashed into a civilian vehicle Monday morning, police said.

The crash occurred at about 6:09 am at the intersection of 57th Street and Larchwood Avenue, police said.

According to police, an officer was driving a marked patrol vehicle when it became “involved with a private vehicle.”

NBC10 reports the police cruiser’s lights and sirens were on as it was responding to a call when it collided with the car.

The civilian driver was taken to Jefferson Hospital for evaluation. Their condition is unknown.

Police said the officer was not injured.

The crash is under investigation.
