SACRAMENTO – Barry Wayne Rickard, 74, of Sacramento, died Monday, July 15, 2024 at 9:00 pm in Sacramento. Born December 7, 1949 in Hopkins County. He was a US Army Veteran, lifelong member at Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a retired Coal Miner from Peabody Coal. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching UK Basketball and boxing, and working on his farm with poultry and cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward B., and Arlene Rickard.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Myrtle Rickard, whom he married on March 15^th, 1969; children, Cristal Mattingly, and Jarrod Rickard; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Edward L. Rickard, and Lavonne Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 1 pm at Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sacramento with Bro. Kevin Brantley officiating. Burial in Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 am – 1 pm at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
