Kansas Democratic Party Endorses Kamala Harris as Presidential Candidate

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Kansas’ Democratic delegation voted Monday to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidential nomination, as Harris continues to rally support among delegates following President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the race.

The Kansas Democratic delegation vote was held during a meeting of the Kansas Democratic Party’s DNC Convention Delegation, featuring the party and delegation chair Jeanna Repass, according to a press release from the party.

On Sunday, July 21, Repass told 27 News that Biden’s announcement to withdraw from this election was “bittersweet.”

The decision comes nearly a month after Repass told 27 News that she and the Kansas Democratic Party fully endorsed Biden after the first presidential debate.
