Alabama delegates to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) unanimously endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as their nominee for president on Monday night.

In a press release, Congresswoman Terri Sewell, chair of the Alabama delegation, said the delegates were all for Harris. “We are deeply grateful for President Biden’s transformative leadership and look forward to continuing his legacy of accomplishment under Vice President Kamala Harris,” Sewell said.

Biden announced Sunday that he would not run for a second term. Harris will face former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, in the Nov. 5 general election.
