Baton Rouge Police Investigate Shooting That Injured One

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge police are investigating a shooting Monday that left one person injured near Scenic Highway.

Officers were called to a shooting in the 900 block of Marsh Street around 2:05 p.m. on Monday, July 22. Police said a shooting victim was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle. They said his injuries were not life-threatening.

The BRPD’s Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating this shooting.

An investigation is also underway into a stabbing that occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23. Emergency medical services officials said they transported one person from Scotland Avenue.
