3M Open History

The 3M Open, though still young on the PGA Tour stage, has a rich golf history. Its roots date back to 1993, when it debuted as the Burnet Senior Classic, a PGA Tour Champions event. After eight years at Bunker Hills Golf Course, the tournament found its permanent home at TPC Twin Cities in 2001, with 3M as title sponsor. For 26 years, it was known as the 3M Championship, showcasing legendary senior golfers. In 2018, a new chapter began. The tournament transitioned to the main PGA Tour circuit, becoming the 3M Open in 2019. This transformation brought a new generation of rising stars to Minnesota, ensuring the tournament’s continued growth and excitement for golf fans.

Lee Hodges T40 +100 (BettingMGM)

Hodges ran away with the 3M Open last year, winning by seven strokes. He has continued his good form since then with nine top-30s and three top-12s, including one at the PGA Championship two months ago. He is one of the best “approach + putting” golfers on Tour and has the potential to easily finish inside the top 40 again. – Ron Klos
