Russellville Plant Announces $60 Million Expansion, New Jobs

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – A Russellville plant is expanding and adding capacity, which officials expect will lead to additional job openings.

Taber Extrusions said in a news release Tuesday that it is adding one of the largest direct presses in North America in a $60 million expansion. The 10,000-ton press will go live in 2026 and will add 70 new jobs to the company’s Russellville facility.


According to Chuck Stout, president of Taber, the expansion reflects the company’s commitment to service.

“We are excited about this expansion as it provides the capacity and capabilities needed in the large extrusion market,” Stout said. “This investment underscores our commitment to continue serving our national defense, aerospace and large industrial market partners.”

Taber Extrusions has been in business in the Russellville area for 50 years. The company pioneered a process for extruding rectangular billets, allowing it to extrude solid profiles for large-scale projects. Taber representatives, along with Arkansas State Government officials including Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, announced the expansion at the 20204 Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom.

Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, said it was an honor to work with Taber.

“It is an honor to join Taber Extrusions Farnborough International Air Show to announce its newest expansion in Russellville Arkansas,” said O’Neal. “Taber Extrusions has been operating in Arkansas since 1976 and we look forward to many more years of business success for them.”

O’Neal also congratulated Russellville on its economic development win.

Pope County Judge Ben Cross was pleased with the job growth in the county.
