Springfield man charged with aggravated domestic abuse

SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield man was arrested late Thursday night after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Furnace Street.

Officers from the Chester Police Department were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:48 p.m. on July 5 to conduct an investigation into the incident.

According to authorities, Harrison Rouleau is accused of strangling the victim, causing bodily harm.

Rouleau was arrested without incident and taken to the Springfield Police Department for further processing.

He is charged with aggravated domestic abuse in the first degree.

Following his arrest, Rouleau was issued a summons to appear in Vermont District Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on July 8 to answer the charges.

He was held at the Southern State Correctional Facility pending his court appearance.
