RCSO responds to drowning on Westfield Drive

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2000 block of Westfield Drive shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, in reference to a drowning

According to the RCSO, upon arrival at the scene, officers were informed of a minor found unconscious in a swimming pool.

The person was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators are on scene. The RCSO has no additional information available at this time.
