One hospitalized after car crashed into house

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)–One person was hospitalized after a car crashed into a building in South Lansing around 11:50 pm last night.

Michigan State Police say the incident happened on Miller Rd, several blocks west of south Cedar St.

MSP says the driver claimed they tried to avoid a deer and ended up hitting an abandoned home. Everyone in the car got out safely but the driver was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.

Police say alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
