Baton Rouge man wanted after shooting in West Baton Rouge Parish, officers say

WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — The West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man in connection with a shooting that occurred on Tuesday, July 23.

Officers are searching for Julius Knox Jr., 23, of Baton Rouge, who is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with a shooting investigation.


According to WBRSO, officers responded to the scene “in the area of ​​Rebelle Lane in reference to a shooting investigation” around 7 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they found someone who had suffered a gunshot wound and was not in danger of dying, WBRSO said.

The investigation is ongoing. Deputies said more details will be released later.
