JMU Pollinator Program Receives State Recognition

HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – James Madison University is set to receive recognition for its Virginia Pollinator-Smart Solar certification.

The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Wildlife Resources will honor the school during a presentation next week.

JMU is the first university in the state to achieve Virginia Pollinator-Smart Program certification.

The presentation will take place Wednesday morning at the solar power plant on East Campus, in front of King Hall.
