Resurfacing of the inner lane at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport is affecting the pick-up of arriving passengers

HONOLULU – The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation advises airport users that from Monday, July 29 through Tuesday, August 6, from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., the interior driveway through Terminal 2 between baggage claims 16 and 29 at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) will be closed for resurfacing.

During the repaving, all passengers picked up at the curb between baggage claims 16 and 29 after 9:30 p.m. will be diverted to the Diamond Head Group Tour Area (see map below). Arriving international passengers will be directed to the International Group Tour Area for pickup.

The outer carriageway will remain open to through traffic and vehicles on the inner carriageway will be diverted via the central reservation, starting at the international arrivals pick-up points (see photo below).

Message signs will be posted to alert motorists of the lane closure and the location for passenger pickup. Signs will also be posted at the baggage claim area to direct passengers to the Diamond Head Group Tour area.
