Locals React to Planned Movie Theater in Little Rock’s Breckenridge Village | KLRT

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A planned movie theater and entertainment venue in Little Rock’s Breckenridge Village has many area residents and businesses excited about what’s to come.

Breckenridge Village was one of the areas hardest hit during the March 31, 2023 tornado outbreak, but things are looking better now, according to Micah Boswell, owner of Neverwhere Coffee.

“It was a slap in the face, but we’ll bounce back hard,” Boswell said.

With four businesses now open and three more planned, there is an attraction coming that is sure to give the region an economic boost.

What was once known as the Regal UA Breckenridge Theater will soon become Film Alley, a 12-screen theater for everyone in Brackenridge Village to enjoy.

Jalisia Randle, manager of Eat My Catfish, said it will create quite a stir in the region.

“You can catch your catfish, get a drink at Waldo’s, go to a movie in between,” Randle said. “It’s definitely going to have a big impact.”

Film Alley features an arcade, a bowling alley and a bar where you can eat. Those who want to watch a movie can make use of heated seats in loungers.

“Of course, a movie theater, that’s going to be awesome,” Boswell said. “We have a lot of really cool stuff here that everyone should go see and support.”

People say it will be a one-stop entertainment shop for everyone and Randle says that’s enough to make sure everyone can enjoy it.

“Bring the whole family, the kids, your grandparents,” Randle said. “Eat My Catfish, Waldo’s, the movie theater, we’re here to make a big change.”
