Lines form early for Trump rally as tension mounts

ST. CLOUD (WJON News) — Tensions are high for the Donald Trump and JD Vance Rally in St. Cloud Saturday night. People began gathering outside the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center at St. Cloud State University as early as 8 p.m. Thursday.

Those in line said other early visitors had been in line since 2 p.m. Friday, and the line began to fill up around 7:30 p.m. Friday night. By 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning, there were about 100 people in line. Those in line said they were excited to see former President Trump and wanted to make sure they had a seat.

Even with temperatures forecast to be in the high 90s, people said the wait would be worth it. The rally is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with J.D. Vance set to speak and the former president taking the stage at 7 p.m.
