Yellowstone prequel 1923 cast This Is Us star

This is us star Janet Montgomery has joined the cast of Yellowstone precursor 1923‘s second season.

The actor, who played Olivia Maine on the hit family drama, will cross paths with the Duttons as recurring character Hillary (via TV Line).

According to the official character description, Hillary is described as “a thoughtful woman who doesn’t want injustice to go unpunished.”

Since its appearance in This is usMontgomery lands lead role in medical drama New Amsterdam and thriller miniseries The ex-wife.

She also appeared in episodes of Quantum Leap, Salem, Black mirror, Downton Abbey, Made in Jersey And The Romanovs.

The news of Montgomery’s casting follows the announcement that Right Star Jennifer Carpenter will also appear in the second season.

The actor will play Mamie Fossett, who is described as “a highly capable American deputy sheriff who makes arrests with aplomb and is well ahead of her time.”

The first season of 1923 debuted in 2022 on Paramount+. It follows characters Jacob and Cara Dutton, played by Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, as they deal with a series of pandemics, droughts, and the end of Prohibition in 1920s Montana.

The impressive cast of the costume drama includes: Game of Thrones star Jermone Flynn as Dutton’s arch-nemesis Banner Creighton and James BondTimothy Dalton plays the role of local magnate Donald Whitfield.

It was recently reported that the show will see major changes in season two, with filming moving from Butte, Montana to the area where the show is set.

Instead, the team will head to ATX Studios in Austin, Texas, where they will film eight new episodes.

Meanwhile, the second part of YellowstoneThe fifth season of will air on the streaming service in November, marking the end of the flagship series after six years.

1923 And Yellowstone both will air on Paramount+.
