Baltimore Police Arrest Man With Gun During Vehicle Stop


New York, NY — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a series of armed robberies in the 114th and 24th precincts. The incidents occurred under alarming circumstances and involved the display of a firearm.

Incident details:

First incident:

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the suspect entered a business at 29-24 Hoyt Avenue. After making a purchase and walking to the cash register, he brandished a firearm and demanded money. He successfully took $600 and fled eastbound on Hoyt Avenue. Fortunately, no one was injured in this robbery.

Second incident:

On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at approximately 10:31 a.m., the same individual targeted a commercial establishment at 2802 Broadway. He displayed a black firearm and demanded money from a 56-year-old male employee. The attempt was unsuccessful and the suspect fled on foot eastbound on West 108 Street. No injuries were reported.

    Description of suspect:

    The suspect is described as a man with a medium complexion and average build, last seen wearing dark sunglasses, a satin beanie, khaki cargo shorts, an orange t-shirt and black, yellow and white sneakers. He was also carrying a camouflage cross-body book bag.

    Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding these incidents or the identity of the suspect to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
