‘A Disaster’: MSNBC Panel Openly Rips ‘Craziness’ of Trump’s Wild Tirade About Electricity

A panel of MSNBC pundits couldn’t help but laugh Sunday after former President Donald Trump promised “so much electricity” that Americans would say, “Please, President, we don’t want any more electricity.”

During a panel discussion on MSNBC on Sunday, host Alicia Menendez read a quote from a recent Trump rally.

“Let me read it to you, because the madness will set in,” she said. “We will generate so much electricity that you will say, please, please, President, we don’t want any more electricity. We can’t stand it. You will beg me, no more electricity, sir. We have enough. We have enough.”

“I mean, that guy is a disaster,” she noted.

Stuart Stevens suggested that Trump was struggling because he would have chosen a different vice presidential candidate if he had known he would be running against Vice President Kamala Harris.

Stevens explained: “They would have chosen a different vice presidential nominee if they had known they were running against Harris.”

Menendez wondered whether Republicans would want to replace Trump if they were a “serious party.”

“Yeah, but that’s a long way off,” Stevens said. “That party doesn’t exist anymore. You know, I mean, look, it’s clear that Donald Trump is a few tall guys short of a six-pack.”

“But the underlying problem is that he — there’s no policy here,” he continued. “Okay, maybe we’re talking about contrast, but you should be able to talk about what you want to do.”

According to Stevens, the vacuum was filled by Project 2025, because there was no real campaign platform.

Sophia Nelson, former counsel to the Republican House committee, agreed.

She said Trump “represents a large portion of Americans who also have such grievances.”

“You’re afraid of DEI, afraid of disappearing, afraid of being replaced,” she asserted.

“They want to go back to the ’50s. And Vice President Harris, as she says, we’re not going back,” Nelson added. “She’s framed it as freedom. And Project 2025 is all about taking away our freedoms, all of us.”

“There’s a lot in there that you should read, because it’s about taking away freedom.”
