GAITHERSBURG, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s help in locating 6-year-old Fawzan Hassan, who disappeared from Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg on Saturday, July 27, around 3 p.m. Fawzan, who is nonverbal and autistic, was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, blue jeans, and blue and white sneakers.

Intensive searches continued throughout the night, with teams using drones provided by the Maryland National Capital Police – Montgomery County. The local community is asked to carefully check their properties, including under porches, patios, in swimming pools, outbuildings, unlocked cars, and nearby playgrounds. Residents are also encouraged to review any home surveillance footage that may provide clues to Fawzan’s whereabouts.

Authorities stress the importance of knowing how to interact with a nonverbal autistic child. If you see Fawzan, don’t approach him too quickly or make loud noises, as this can startle him. Instead, call 911 immediately, speak calmly and softly, and try to get his attention with visual cues or familiar objects until help arrives.

  • Texas man charged in New Jersey armed home invasion

    NORWOOD, NJ – Bergen County District Attorney Mark Musella has announced the arrest of Jisun Park, a 40-year-old man from Carrollton, Texas. Park is facing multiple charges, including armed robbery, armed burglary, aggravated assault and illegal possession of a weapon.

    This arrest is the result of a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Chief Matthew Finck, and the Norwood Police Department, led by Chief Christian Federici.

    The incident occurred on Saturday, July 27 at 12:20 a.m. when Norwood police responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery at a residence on Impatiens Way.

    Upon arrival, officers learned that a masked intruder had entered the garage, brandishing a handgun at two adults and their children, demanding their belongings and threatening them. The family’s screams apparently frightened the assailant, causing him to flee into a nearby wooded area.

    A coordinated response from multiple law enforcement agencies assisted Norwood Police in the search. Park was found hiding in the woods and was arrested without further incident.

    Further investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Unit led to the seizure of several items used in the crime, including a Glock-style air rifle.

  • Public Assistance Wanted to Find Missing Bronx Resident

    BRONX, NY – The New York City Police Department is actively seeking the public’s help in locating Rafael Arroy, a 65-year-old man who was last seen leaving his home in the Bronx. Arroy lives at 3200 Bronx Boulevard, within the 47th Precinct. He disappeared on Thursday, July 25 at approximately 5:00 p.m.

    Arroy is described as a bald man with brown eyes, is 5’11” tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white T-shirt and black pants. The NYPD has released media reports about Arroy’s disappearance, which are available through the DCPI.

    Authorities are urging anyone with information about Arroy’s whereabouts to come forward to help ensure his safe return. The NYPD emphasizes the importance of community assistance in missing persons cases.
