AccessPlus Acquires Crocker Communications, Expands into Western MA

AccessPlus, a subsidiary of the RingSquared organization, announced the acquisition of Crocker Communications, Inc., a leading telecommunications provider based in Greenfield and Springfield, Massachusetts. The deal, pending approval by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and state regulators, is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024.

This acquisition enables AccessPlus to significantly expand its infrastructure in Western Massachusetts. Crocker Communications, which has approximately 2,000 customers including government, education and residential, brings invaluable assets to AccessPlus. The company’s strong customer base and exclusive Internet access to Block Island, Rhode Island, underscore its established reputation.

Following the acquisition, AccessPlus plans to integrate Crocker’s customers into its fiber broadband network. This expansion will begin in Pittsfield and continue throughout Berkshire County. AccessPlus has already begun providing fiber broadband service in the Pittsfield business district, and this acquisition promises to strengthen their market position.
