Vermont Coastal Low to Bring Scattered Showers and Isolated Thunderstorms Today

Burlington, VT – A coastal low-pressure system is set to bring increasing clouds and occasional showers across the North Country today. The showers will be most widespread across Vermont, with isolated thunderstorms also possible this afternoon and evening.

According to the US National Weather Service in Burlington, the heaviest rainfall is expected in Manchester, where up to 0.58 inches may fall. Other areas such as Springfield and Lebanon might see up to 0.26 and 0.16 inches, respectively.

Today’s high in Burlington will reach 83°F, with a 35% chance of precipitation. The forecast for the rest of the week includes mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday with a high of 87°F and a low of 67°F. Wednesday brings a 75% chance of rain, with temperatures ranging from 72°F to 78°F. Thursday will see a return to sunny conditions with a high of 84°F.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Friday and Saturday will have partly cloudy skies with highs around 84°F and 83°F, respectively. Sunday will bring another chance of showers with a high of 80°F. The following week starts off mild, with temperatures in the high 60s to low 70s and varying cloud cover.
