Two people die Monday in what Denver police are investigating as a double homicide

DENVER — Two people were killed Monday morning in what Denver police are investigating as a double homicide.

DPD originally reported that officers were investigating a death in Stapleton, on N Syracuse Street, around 7:50 a.m.

Then, just before 9:15 a.m. Monday, DPD reported that a second person was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. At the time, Denver police said officers were now investigating a double homicide.

“Detectives believe they have contact with all individuals involved,” Denver police said, but the investigation is ongoing.

According to DPD, the Denver coroner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death and release the identities of the deceased once family has been notified.
