An exclusive Aspen Mountain Club takes Memorial Hermann’s fundraising to new levels – Pushing things higher

What: “Elevated Connections” from the Memorial Hermann Foundation

Where: Aspen, Colorado

PC moments: Two days of friend-raising and fundraising brought together more than 130 health-care enthusiasts for a program at 11,000-plus feet at the AspenX Mountain Club, first before descending to a mere 8,000 feet above sea level at the posh Hotel Jerome for brunch. At an altitude, indeed.

First up was the AspenX Mountain Club, where participants stepped out of the Aspen Gondola for fantastic views of the mountain peaks and the program. Anne NeesonExecutive Vice President and CEO of the Memorial Hermann Foundation, launched the program and introduced Doctor David Callender, president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System.

Callender provided examples of how Memorial Hermann works every day to improve the health of the Houston area community, from school and community clinics and the renowned Memorial Hermann Life Flight to the innovative new health education and learning program at Nimitz High School in Aldine ISD, which is training the next generation of health care professionals.

The next day I saw a stylish clutch gathered in the garden of the Hotel Jerome, which was decorated for the occasion as a Parisian café. The decor was the flower filled “HTX” background and the airy parisian playlist of DJ Savy Fontana. Especially popular was the champagne cart with cocktails that were almost too beautiful to drink, because they were decorated with delicate flowers. A barista offered a variety of coffee drinks. The brunch buffet completed the picture.
