Boston Police Arrest 19-Year-Old After Stabbing Near Charles Street

BOSTON — A 19-year-old Mattapan resident was arrested Saturday afternoon after a stabbing incident in the city’s downtown area, Boston police said.

On July 27, at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers from District A-1 responded to a report of a stabbing at 215 Charles Street.

Upon arrival they found an adult male victim with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was quickly treated by Boston EMS and taken to a local hospital. The injuries were no longer considered life-threatening.

Witnesses at the scene provided a description of the suspect, who was seen fleeing toward the Liberty Hotel.

After the suspect’s information was later passed on, Massachusetts State Police officers were able to locate the individual, identified as Kymani Walker, 19, at Teddy Ebersol’s Red Sox field.

Walker was arrested and charged with armed assault with murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.

He will have to answer to the Boston court.

Boston police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
