Jesse Ventura Makes Shocking WWE Return – TJR Wrestling

One of the most controversial wrestling stars in WWE history is back with the company as Jesse Ventura is welcomed to Raw by Triple H.

Jesse Ventura rose to fame as a wrestler in the 1970s before moving to the WWF early in the next decade. However, the veteran is best known for his commentary work alongside Gorilla Monsoon and Vince McMahon after his retirement.

Ventura had a falling out with McMahon over royalties in 1987, after being told that only WWE videotape performers earned royalties. In 1991, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Titan Sports, then WWE’s parent company, and ultimately won.

The star went on to enjoy success in Hollywood and as a politician, becoming governor of Minnesota in 1999 before briefly returning to WWE that same year. Ventura was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004 and made his most recent appearance for the company in 2009.

Now that Raw is set in Ventura’s home state of St. Paul, Minnesota, it appears The Body is back in the family.
