Heat warnings in effect for parts of South Georgia and the Big Bend

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Another round of afternoon showers and thunderstorms is expected Tuesday.

Some storms could bring gusty winds to some neighborhoods in South Georgia, but the rest of our neighborhoods could see heavy rain during storms.

On Tuesday we will really feel the HEAT.

A warming trend starts on Tuesday and continues until the end of the weekend, with highs reaching around 35 degrees Celsius.

Normally this wouldn’t be a problem for us, but with the extra humidity in our atmosphere it will sometimes feel like 42-43 degrees!

This means that you can overheat quickly and that it is difficult to cool down if you are overheated.

Make sure you are careful not to add extra water to the road due to storms, but also make sure you drink enough and stay cool!
