Two dead in shooting incident south of Topeka

SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – Local police say two people have died from gunshot wounds in a neighborhood south of Topeka.

The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office posted a social media post on Tuesday, July 30, about a shooting that was reported around 7:45 p.m. on July 29 in the 1600 block of SW 70th Street. Officers arriving at the area found two people dead from gunshot wounds.


Initial investigations into the incident indicate a domestic situation. There is no other information available to share at this time.
