The ever-fascinating Jaromir Jagr, 52, will reportedly attempt to play every game for his Czech Extraliga owner Kladno team this season, having made just 15 appearances last season.

The Czech league consists of 52 regular season games. If Jagr plays a full schedule at his age, he would achieve a feat comparable to that of Gordie Howe in his final NHL season. Howe turned 52 at the end of the 1979-80 season when he played 80 games for the Hartford Whalers.

The biggest difference, besides the number of games, is that Howe played at a fairly high level in the best league in the world. He scored 15 goals that season. Howe scored his last NHL goal, a playoff score, when he was 52. Jagr had no goals and four points in his 15 extra-league games.
