About John Rich

John Rich is a multi-platinum hitmaker and music industry leader armed with confidence, ambition and determination. His creative talents are matched only by his business acumen.

In August 2023, Rich released The Country Truth, a record full of songs written from the honest and unapologetic perspective of a patriotic American living through one of the most tumultuous times in history. This collection of songs will make you laugh, cry, and reflect on where we’ve been, where we are now, and where we’re going. “I think ‘The Country Truth’ is some of my best work to date, and I hope it becomes something that people really latch onto and love from start to finish,” Rich said.

Since the launch of Rich Records in late 2019, all four releases have reached the top spot on the all-genre sales charts, a feat that doesn’t come easy to everyone. Rich is known for his outspoken and confident voice, and this collection is no exception. His ability to address a topic head-on, whether it’s a veteran’s war story, a medical crisis, a political play, or just plain fun, has connected with the listener.

Whether it’s through a raucous party anthem or a sober reflection on the hard times in the country’s heartland, Rich’s ability to capture the American zeitgeist in song has made him one of the most successful and prolific entertainers in the music industry today. And in 2011, Rich impressed Donald Trump and American TV audiences with his business acumen and leadership skills, winning NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice and raising $1.5 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Now, the multi-talented Rich is applying his talents to his latest venture, a lifestyle brand called Redneck Riviera that launched in 2014 with a clothing line aimed at what he calls the “Red, White, Blue and Rowdy” crowd. Rich got the idea after visiting the stretch of Gulf Coast that affectionately bears the same name. In just 6 short years, the brand has expanded to include clothing, a boot line, a bar in the heart of downtown Nashville on Lower Broadway, a jerky line, and an impressive spirits department that features two American whiskeys (Redneck Riviera Whiskey and Granny Rich Reserve) that are offered nationwide. In addition to the spirits, there’s also currently a specialty drink on the shelves called “Howdy Dew.”

In addition to all of these successes, Rich also finds time to host a show on Fox Business Network and Fox Nation, the streaming service for Fox News called The Pursuit! With John Rich. The uniquely produced interview show launched in February 2020 with episodes featuring Tim Tebow, Adam Carolla, Vivek Ramaswamy, Gary Sinise, Wynonna Judd, Gretchen Wilson, Wolfgang Puck and more.

Rich’s musical resume includes serving as co-lead vocalist for multi-platinum selling country act Lonestar, and currently as half of the groundbreaking country duo Big & Rich with partner Kenny “Big Kenny” Alphin. He is a three-time ASCAP “Songwriter of the Year”, with over 14 Top Ten hits for artists such as Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Gretchen Wilson, Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift and Big & Rich. As a producer, Rich has worked with Alabama’s Randy Owen, Jewel, John Anderson, Gretchen Wilson and numerous developing acts. Rich co-founded Nashville’s Muzik Mafia movement, a weekly musical showcase that helped launch country music stars including “Redneck Woman” Gretchen Wilson and was

chronicled in the book Muzik Mafia. His television credits include creating and hosting CMT’s Gone Country series and serving as a judge in 2008 on NBC’s Nashville Star.
