Patrick Lewter Arrested on Charges of Human Trafficking and Child Sexual Exploitation

A man has been arrested and charged with six counts related to sex crimes against a minor, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office reported.

On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a sexual offense involving a minor.

After investigation, 44-year-old Patrick Wayne Lewter was charged with the following crimes:

– One count of felony trafficking in persons with a child as a victim
– One count of felony sexual slavery of a child victim
– One charge of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor
– One count of incest with a child
– One charge of felony child abuse
– One count of felony rape of a child

Lewter was arrested on Thursday and is currently being held without bail at the Wake County Detention Center.
