NDLEA intercepts medicines hidden in spare parts and packaging

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency officials are pushing back against attempts by drug cartels to capitalize on recent protests and expand their operations.

Femi Babafemi, the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, made the announcement in videos shared on X.com on Sunday.

According to Babafemi, the cartels planned to use the protests to move their “markets” by land, sea and air.

However, NDLEA operatives were hot on their trail, armed with personnel, intelligence, advanced technology and sniffer dogs.

He shared videos and wrote: “The drug cartels thought they could take advantage of the protests to quickly move their ‘markets’ from all fronts: land, sea and air but #ndlea_nigeria confronted them with personnel, intelligence, technology and sniffer dogs in equal measure. Here are some of the results.”
