Institutional Finance Advisor – DG INTPA and DG NEAR (remote/part-time/full-time)

This position is intended for a motivated and goal-oriented professional with proven experience in DG INTPA and DG NEAR funding mechanisms, proposal development and donor engagement.

As the global point of contact for DG INTPA and DG NEAR, you will be responsible for expanding PIN’s global funding portfolio from these two institutions.

You will become a key member of the Institutional Fundraising Unit, part of the Knowledge and Learning Department, a dynamic team of technical advisors and specialists focused on high-quality programme development and implementation. You will gain unique exposure to a broad portfolio of PIN’s work in humanitarian assistance, early recovery and development.

Your main responsibilities:

DG INTPA and DG NEAR Donor Engagement and Intelligence (30%)

  • Acting as a global point of contact for DG INTPA and DG NEAR
  • Prepare PIN Global DG INTPA and DG NEAR engagement strategies, in line with PIN Global Fundraising Strategy, Country Programme Strategies and other PIN Strategies
  • Facilitate the global positioning of PIN vis-à-vis DG INTPA and DG NEAR departments

Project design and proposal development (60%)

  • Lead/write/review proposals for DG INTPA and DG NEAR upon request, and possibly other institutional donors such as DG ECHO, USAID, FCDO, SDC, GAC, GFFO, UN, CHFs, CZDA, etc. and private foundations
  • Ensure that proposed projects meet donor requirements and PIN strategic priorities, coordinate with other PIN units, especially compliance
  • Coordinate required technical input with other PIN units (particularly Knowledge and Learning Department)
  • Lead and/or support partner negotiations, including collaboration and pre-bid agreements
  • Provide long-term support to specific country programs

Strategic and capacity development support (10%)

  • As a key member of the Institutional Fundraising Unit, you will actively participate in strategic team and department discussions and support the Unit Head and management with relevant analyses and research.
  • Ensure capacity building of headquarters and field staff in proposal development and donor positioning

Your profile:

  • Demonstrable track record of leading competitive proposal processes and securing funding from DG INTPA and DG NEAR
  • Demonstrable knowledge of DG INTPA and DG NEAR strategies
  • Experience working for international organizations or donor organizations
  • Experience with commercial contracts is an advantage
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, other languages ​​are a plus (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, etc.)
  • Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple tasks and work independently and effectively in fast-paced, multi-cultural environments
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing and proofreading skills, with an eye for the message, themes, aesthetics and content of proposals
  • Strong networking, representation and negotiation skills
  • Have the ability to coordinate different teams and participate in different team environments
