ManTech’s Justice Department is seeking a Strategic Leader for the Enterprise Data Analysis Section (EDAS) Services EDAS Portfolio. The role involves acquiring technical expertise to support IT networks, systems, and initiatives. The role is critical to the success of FBI missions and requires specialized technical expertise in agile methodologies, specifically the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The SAFe methodology will be used to align Agile teams and deliver capabilities, ensuring effective work prioritization and successful delivery. Experience with SAFe implementation is essential to modernize and enhance capabilities within the EDAS portfolio.

Summary of the position:

The Senior Data Engineer for the Data Loading and Analysis System (DaLAS) team is responsible for maintaining the extraction, organization, and exploitation of seized digital media evidence in support of counterintelligence and counterterrorism investigations. This role requires expertise in HTML, Vue Framework, JavaScript, Java, .NET, and Apache Solr.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintain and improve the Data Loading and Analysis System (DaLAS) for the extraction, organization and exploitation of seized digital media evidence.
  • Develop and maintain software components using HTML, Vue Framework, JavaScript, Java, and .NET.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.
  • Use Apache Solr for efficient indexing, searching, and retrieval of data.
  • Ensure that current or requested programming, testing, and documentation techniques are used appropriately.
  • Produce, evaluate and document knowledge that reflects the areas identified in the work description.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to colleagues, subordinates and government representatives.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, management science, computer science, information systems, social sciences, education, human resource development, psychology, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum ten to twelve years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with HTML, Vue Framework, JavaScript, Java, .NET and Apache Solr.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining software components using the above technologies.
  • Experience in extracting, organizing and exploiting seized digital media evidence.
  • Knowledge of counterintelligence and counter-terrorism investigations is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design and implement data engineering solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications or advanced degrees in data engineering or related fields are highly desirable.

Admission requirements:

  • Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance

The expected compensation range for this position is $93,300-$155,200. There are several factors that may impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies relevant to the position specified, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education and certifications, as well as federal government contract labor categories. Additionally, ManTech invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
