Madhya Pradesh Congress organises ‘Halla Bol’ at CM Mohan Yadav’s birthplace Ujjain, slams BJP over Law & Order, NEET scam and more

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Congress leaders Jitu Patwari on Friday organised a ‘Halla Bol’ in Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s Ujjain district. The opposition party raised issues like ‘deteriorating law and order’, nurse scam, NEET exam fraud, pollution of Shipra river and more.

Ex CM Digvijaya Singh, PCC Chief Jitu Patwari and Umang Singhar were some of the top leaders who participated in the protest. During the protest, all the leaders criticized the present government and took a strict stand on the current issues.

The protest ended with a scuffle between the party workers and the police personnel present. Barricades were put up to prevent the protesters from reaching the assembly point. During the process, a scuffle broke out between the protesters who tried to climb over the barricades.

After the clash, the protesters including PCC Chief Jitu Patwari sat on the road and surrounded Ujjain Collectorate. The protesters sat on the road for about an hour and the protest ended when Patwari gave an ultimatum to the Ujjain Collector.

Top politicians lash out at CM

Chetan Yadav, who lost to CM Mohan Yadav from Ujjain South constituency, hit out at the Chief Minister, accusing him of promoting alcohol, satta and land mafia and tarnishing the image of Mahakaleshwar temple in the name of imposing darshan tax and promoting VIP culture.

Hitting out at the ruling BJP, Jitu Patwari said the Mohan Yadav government should ban alcohol in Ujjain. “People in Ujjain are leaving out of fear. We will not let this happen.”

According to information, prior to the days of protest, ex CM Digvijaya Singh reached Ujjain. Before participating in the protest, Singh went to Mahakal temple to offer prayers.

During the protest, Singh hit out at the current government and said, “The BJP government is grabbing land that was allotted to the poor and farmers during the Congress regime. Attacking the Centre, he said the Modi government consists of big corporates. “They started by giving Rs 1,250 to Ladli Behnas but took a lot of money for the utility bills.”
