Police Arrest Twin Falls County Man on Multiple Child Exploitation Charges

BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) – Idaho officials arrested a man in Twin Falls County on multiple charges of sexual exploitation of a child on Thursday.

According to Attorney General Raul Labrador, the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has arrested 56-year-old Daniel DeKruyf on 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

“Every arrest made by our ICAC Task Force represents an unknown number of exploited and abused children,” Labrador said. “It is our job to investigate, apprehend and prosecute these offenders and keep them out of our neighborhoods. I am grateful for the hard work of our ICAC Task Force and the partnerships they are building across our state. Each new partner agency helps make our communities safer.”

The Rupert Police Department, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office and Jerome Police Department assisted the ICAC Task Force and K9 units from Idaho Falls and Rupert.

According to court documents, Judge Benjamin Harmer set Dekruyf’s bail at $300,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 30.

ICAC encourages anyone with information regarding child exploitation to contact their local law enforcement, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit at 208-947-8700, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.
