Bell County Death Investigation Recording Reveals Killer on 34th Birthday

Recently, WRIL received a recording and several news reports about the death of Jennifer Bailey in Bell County. The recording was from three people involved in the case and an inmate who had been held at the same facility as a person who confessed to killing Jennifer.

According to Kentucky State Police, Bailey, 21, was strangled to death while jogging near Pine Mountain State Park. Her body was found in a wooded area of ​​the park. Today, August 16, marks the 34th anniversary of Jennifer’s death.

We have received a statement from attorney Bill Hayes, then Bell County Commonwealth Attorney, regarding the recording he was part of regarding the case. Hayes states in the press release that he has attempted to prosecute the case on multiple occasions, but to no avail. We have reached out to the Kentucky State Police and believe a statement will be forthcoming.
