Bills WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling Out at Halftime

FinalizeBuffalo Bills wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was injured after taking a hard hit in the second quarter of preseason action against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Immediately following the play, Valdes-Scantling was left on his knees as team medical personnel, teammates, coaches and more gathered around him.

With the help of others, MVS gathered his feet and carefully walked to the sideline and into the blue medical tent. A short time later, MVS left the tent in an emotional state. Bills reporter Maddy Glab later reported that MVS had suffered a neck injury and was unlikely to return. He was then carted to the team locker room.

The Bills can’t catch a break when it comes to staying healthy this summer. MVS’s injury came two and a half minutes after quarterback Mitch Trubisky left the game with what appeared to be a lower-body injury.

The entire Bills Mafia is waiting to hear how serious MVS’s injury is, especially considering the neck injuries suffered by third-string quarterback Shane Buechele last weekend against the Chicago Bears and running back Damien Harris last season. Let’s hope for the best outcome for Marques Valdez-Scantling.
