After the shooting that left three Bulgarians injured and five arrested in Halkidiki, among those arrested was Kiril Kirov, known as Kircho Ruskia, part of the “Taki’s Hammers”. According to eyewitnesses, he and his bodyguards beat and shot employees of an establishment owned by another Bulgarian, BNT reports.

Our Consulate General in Thessaloniki has confirmed that it has been informed and is awaiting official information on the case from the Greek authorities.

After receiving information from the Greek police, our Consulate General in Thessaloniki announced the following:

“In the evening of August 16, a conflict broke out in a nightclub in the Hanioti resort between a group of 7 Bulgarian citizens, the owner and the staff of the institution, during which two people were shot and one was slightly injured. The injured were admitted to the Poligiros hospital. Our representative office in Thessaloniki also provided assistance to relatives of the injured.

Greek media reports that the participants in the incident have ties to the Bulgarian mafia. Kiril Kirov, known in underground circles as Kircho Ruskia, and his bodyguards were arrested for assault and use of firearms. In the past decade or so, he has been in contact with Christophoros Amanatidis – Taki.

In the criminal world, he began as a drug dealer in the capital’s “Lyulin” district, but with the execution of orders for intimidation, he began to rise in the hierarchy. Thus, he comes to the leading position in “Taki’s Hammers”. In addition to Taki, Kirov also worked with Mityo Ochite, Kukata and Tony Zaspoglata. He was detained several times.

In our country, his arrests are related to drugs and dirty orders. This is not his first arrest abroad – in 2016 he was detained on the island of Bali for embezzling bank cards.

At the time of the brawl, there was a live music night at the beach bar last night. The incident caused panic among customers and staff. The police are investigating the case.
