New ‘Mug Mafia’ Coffee Shop Under Construction in Oregon District, Documents Reveal

DAYTON, Ohio (Dayton Business Journal) — Public records indicate a new coffee shop is in the works in downtown Dayton, near the Oregon District.

The coffee shop would be located at 200 E. Fifth St., where Smokin’ Bar-B-Que used to operate, according to city records. A permit for the Fifth Street address was recently filed with the city of Dayton by Squeeze Me Lemonade LLC.

The LLC name was filed with the State of Ohio in June of this year. The registrant filed the business name Mug Mafia under the LLC, noting that the general nature of the business is to provide food and entertainment.

A Mug Mafia Facebook page is active and lists the location at Fifth Street. The page says the coffee shop is coming soon, but no specific date has been set.

“Join the #MugMafia family and experience the ultimate blend of artisanal coffee, specialty teas, and cozy vibes,” the coffee shop’s Facebook intro reads. “Get ready for a brew-tiful journey!”

The company also has a website, but it currently only says ‘coming soon…’
