Dutch Ambassador tackles human trafficking with Minister of Home Affairs Mohsin Naqvi

Dutch Ambassador Henny de Vries met with Federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday and discussed a wide range of issues with him, TV channel 24NewsHD reported.

Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed the Dutch Ambassador upon her arrival at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

During the meeting, topics of mutual interest were discussed, including bilateral cooperation. Also discussed was the intensification of cooperation in various sectors.

The meeting highlighted the need for better cooperation to prevent human trafficking.

Mohsin Naqvi said during the meeting that Pakistan attaches great importance to relations with the Netherlands and wants to strengthen relations with the Netherlands in various areas.

The Minister of Home Affairs congratulated the new government of the Netherlands and his counterpart. There is a need for more bilateral cooperation to stop human trafficking, Mohsin Naqvi added.

He said that human traffickers are a big mafia and no country can solve this alone. Only joint action can be effective against human trafficking. In this regard, the Italian team will visit Pakistan soon.

During the meeting it was decided to intensify cooperation in the field of care for Afghan refugees.

Pakistan has been hosting Afghan refugees for decades, says Mohsin Naqvi.

During the meeting, it was also decided to strengthen cricket ties between Pakistan and the Netherlands.

Mohsin Naqvi said that we are developing a plan to promote cricket with the Netherlands.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands congratulated Mohsin Naqvi on his nomination for the position of Chairman of the Asian Cricket Council.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands said that promoting cooperation in various fields, including sports, is of utmost importance.

By promoting cooperation in cricket, the Dutch team will have the opportunity to learn from Pakistan’s experiences, the Dutch ambassador said.

Federal Minister for Interior Khurram Ali Agha and Additional Minister for Interior Rifat Mukhtar Raja were also present at the meeting.
