Summit County Sting Operation Leads to Arrest of Three Men Suspected of Child Prostitution

Three men in Summit County, Colorado, have been arrested following an undercover internet operation aimed at dismantling child prostitution. According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Isaiah Rapheal Brown, Andrew James Wright and Mark Saeyoon Kim were arrested last week for their alleged intent to engage in sex acts with minors. The operation, which involved multiple agencies, was aimed at the growing cybercrime of online child exploitation.

In a detailed report by Denver7, it was revealed that the suspects arrived separately, each reportedly under the impression that they would pay for illegal acts with a child. According to Denver7, those arrested face a variety of charges ranging from solicitation to cybercrime. Isaiah Rapheal Brown, of unincorporated Breckenridge, was hit with four felonies and one misdemeanor. His litany of charges includes solicitation of child prostitution, attempted solicitation of a prostituted child, and cybercrime, along with an additional offense of attempted contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Andrew James Wright, of Twin Lakes, and Mark Saeyoon Kim, of Denver, are facing similarly serious charges, with both accused of crimes including solicitation of child prostitution and attempted sexual abuse of a child. KDVR reports that Kim also faces charges of luring a child over the internet with attempted exploitation. The cooperation of local authorities with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the 5th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the Summit County 911 Center were instrumental in the success of this undercover operation, according to KDVR reporting.

Following their arrest, the men were transported and booked into the Summit County Detention Facility. The operation demonstrates the continued efforts of law enforcement to address the complex and serious problem of child exploitation in the digital age. Each charge carries the weight of society’s contempt for the crimes alleged. A process of justice ensues, with the arrested individuals confronting the justice system and the possibility of society’s retribution for crimes that strike at the collective core of our common values if found guilty.
