Mafia 4 Officially Revealed as Mafia: The Old Country

The mafia returns to the old country.

Mafia has been around for a few years now, with its debut title hitting the market in 2002. Now, we’re finally getting the fourth installment. During Gamescom ONL, we got the official reveal for Mafia: The Old Countrywhich will be the fourth main installment to be released for this series. While few details are known yet, we do know that the game will be released sometime in 2025.

The franchise as a whole has recently experienced a newfound resurgence among fans. In 2020, the series received a remaster, or complete remake. This not only gave veteran players of the original games a chance to replay those games, or newcomers a chance to experience the storylines for the first time. So it was no surprise that Hangar 13 was working on a new game to release to players.

At the end of Gamescom ONL we got the first reveal trailer for Mafia: The Old Country. Again, this was just the first trailer for the title, so we’ll see more information about the game as we head towards 2025. That said, we do know that we’re going back in time when we visit Sicily.

We should also see a deep story to lure players into the game. But we’ll have to wait for more information to see what the gameplay will be like with this new installment and, most importantly, our first real look at the protagonist who will lead this game’s campaign. If you missed Gamescom ONL, you can find the game trailer below.
