The Old Country Announced, Coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2025

The next Mafia game has finally been announced, as leaks had claimed over the past few months. Called Mafia: The Old Country, The title was announced by 2K and developer Hangar 13 at the conclusion of Gamescom Opening Night Live.

As was claimed before the release, Mafia: The Old Country is a prequel set in the 1900s that takes players to Sicily, where it tells the story of the origins of organized crime. Whether that means Don Salieri from the original game will return, as leaks have claimed, remains to be seen.

Check out the short announcement teaser for the game below. 2K and Hangar 13 have confirmed that they will share more information about the title in December.

Mafia: The Old Country is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It is set for release in 2025, with 2K confirming it will release in fiscal year 2026, meaning it won’t be out until April.
