The suspects include both men and women from 15 Asian and African countries. As many as 709 desktop computers, 28 laptops, 1,896 mobile phones, two iPads and 10 USB sticks were seized in the raid, Lao media reported Tuesday.

The measure aimed to tackle cross-border crime in the zone, maintain social order and security, and prevent illegal business activities on Laotian territory.
