Gamescom 2024 closed with the announcement in the Mafia series called The Old Country that will rediscover its roots, Al Bacio. Hangar 13 President Nick Bayes confirmed this a few days ago. But it is not just a return to the roots; the team is inclined to make it as authentic as possible.

The first two main games had more Italian elements, as the first game showed Tommy Angelo’s rise and fall in the Salieri crime family, while the subsequent sequel told the story of a Sicilian-American, Vito Scaletta. The third game follows the story of Vietnam War veteran Lincoln Clay.
