Macpherson urges decisive action against construction mafias

Minister of Works and Infrastructure Dean Macpherson and KwaZulu-Natal MEC of Works and Infrastructure Martin Meyer have agreed on the need for an emergency meeting with the respective MECs in each province, as well as ministers in the Law Enforcement Cluster, to develop a response to the construction mafia activities in the country. During an emergency meeting between the two officials on 23 August, Meyer gave Macpherson a report on how the problem of construction mafia had resurfaced in KwaZulu-Natal.
