Darlington County Man Arrested on Child Abuse Charges

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A Darlington County man has been arrested on suspicion of child sexual abuse.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Ganson Eugene Gainer, 50, of Hartsville, on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force made the arrest.

The Hartsville Police Department, Homeland Security and the U.S. Secret Service assisted in this investigation.

Gainer was arrested on Wednesday and faces up to 10 years in prison for his charges.
